Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, USA. Poverty and desperation speaks many languages including falsehood. That's what Sancho Brown demonstrated when he falsely reported he was robbed after an ATM withdrawal.

May 18, 2018. Police respond to a supposed robbery crime scene at 4240 Jones road where fictim Sancho Brown explains to officer that after withdrawing $600 from an ATM at Raleigh Gas station, he was sited in the driver's seat of his car when a stranger approached the car window and asked him for a cigarette. When he said he had none, the person hit his head with an unknown object and demanded the money, got it and made away.

However, after officers review of CCTV in the area, they determine none of the events Sancho described had occurred. He never approached Raleigh ATM. When confronted with the new information, he owned up admitting he lied because he needed an excuse for his girlfriend who wanted to know why the money was gone.

May 18, 2018. 51 year-old Sancho Brown was booking in county jail and his vehicle was towed
