Jussie Smollett

Updated: Mar 6, 2020

Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA. Attention-craving actor takes his talent to the streets, staging hate crime of sorts against himself for extra fame. In fact, an accomplice googled "Jussie Smollet" at least 50 times after he reported the fake incident. Though he was timely revealed as just another hate hoaxer and charged with 16 felonies, all charges were soon dropped for esoteric reasons. The City of Chicago sued him for restitution but he counter-sues Chicago for "emotional distress". As if the tug of war was not interesting enough, the fake victim faces 6 new charges by a new special prosecutor. See updates lower down the page.

Justin Smollett (AKA Jussie Smollett) had apparently sought attention and fame through many other ways before. You can pick your favorite in a range starting from declaring himself openly gay in a 2015 episode of Ellen DeGeneres Show, to openly donating $125,000 to black charities in November 2018. Apparently, those media stunts did not cut it for him so he decided to try something else for the headlines: An episode of Category 5 hate crime fictimhood (fake victimhood) we have seen here before, but just not from a black privileged male celebrity who was already on track in a promising career, and not in this capacity. How the chain of hate crime hoaxes play out in this one proves less laughable than worthy of open rebuke in our society today.

January 22, 2019. fictim Jussie Smollett, a valuable treasure to the deep blue-coated efforts to speed up the libtardization of this country, took to the cops to report receiving an envelope in a Chicago’s West Side production studio with "MAGA" (Make America Great Again) written on the return address section. Inside the envelope was some white powdered substance which police later determined it to be granulated aspirin, and a threat note in the lines of “You will die black.”.

This fabricated incident apparently did not get the news media / public reaction Jussie Smollett had hoped for, so the fictim turned up the heat.

January 29, 2019. Jussie Smollett reports that after getting food from a Subway store around 2 am, he was attacked by two men on his way back to his apartment. He claimed the men assaulted him, wrapped a noose around his neck while uttering racial and homophobic slurs including: “This is MAGA (Make America Great Again) country,”. The fictim claims his attackers also poured bleach on him before fleeing on foot. For a subject who is African-American, the alleged attack on Jussie Smollett would have been ruled racism, but for someone who also declared himself gay and is active in the LGBTQification of America, such an attack on him could also be classified as homophobic. With his racial and sexual orientation identities combined, Jussie Smollett is the near-complete recipe for the ultimate hate crime victim.

January 30, 2019. Chicago police assigned at least a dozen detectives reviewing hundreds of hours of surveillance footage, including of Smollett walking downtown, but none of the videos show the attack. However, Police released stills of two people in the area at the time whom officers declared as "persons of interest" shown walking along the same street near where Smollett was allegedly attacked about 15 minutes later.

Meanwhile, Reports of Jussie Smollett's attack drew outrage and support on social media, including from U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California, U.S. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush of Chicago and openly gay TV host Ellen DeGeneres. A few days later Jussie Smollett issued a statement telling concerned people that he is OK and thanking them for their support, adding that he is working with authorities and has been "100 percent factual and consistent on every level."

February 01, 2019. Besides the support he already got from politicians and celebrities, he pulled more support from communities across the nation, with people gathering in a show of solitary holding up signs in support for Jussie Smollett, the black, and gay community.

February 02, 2019. Jussie Smollett performed in a Southern Cali West Hollywood concert where he said "I had to be here tonight, y'all. I can't let (them) win," he said emotionally. "I have so many words in my heart. The most important thing I have to say is thank you so much and that I'm OK. I'm not fully healed yet, but I'm going to. And I'm gonna stand strong with y'all.”, "I was bruised but my ribs were not cracked. They were not broken. I went to the doctor immediately," he said. "I was not hospitalized. Both my doctors in L.A. and Chicago cleared me to perform but said to take care, obviously and, above all, I fought the ***k back. I'm the gay Tupac." Tupac never orchestrated a hate crime hoax though. Amid growing skepticism and doubts about the alleged attack however, Jussie Smollett continued to enjoy attention and support.

February 12, 2019. Chicago police confirmed they had received some, but not all, of the fictim's phone records which they requested as part of their investigation, as Jussie Smollett had reported that his music manager who was on phone with him at the time of the attack could corroborate his story. Though detectives said the heavily redacted files were not much helpful. However, Jussie Smollett cited privacy as his reason to withhold certain information. He said, besides, most of what the police requested was not relevant to their investigation.

February 14, 2019. In efforts to clear growing doubts about his claims, Jussie Smollett sat with GMA (Good Morning America) host Robin Roberts, another African American from the LGBTQ community, on the program broadcast on national TV. “You do such a disservice when you lie about things like this,” Jussie Smollett said while also reiterating that he fought back, and his message to young gay men is to "fight back". The fictim got croc-tearful in some answers and visibly angry in others. What a good actor. When asked what if his attackers are never found, he answered: "I still want to believe, with everything that has happened, that there is something called justice". and rightfully so, some of it was coming his way for lying.

On the same day, Chicago police announced there were two "persons of interest" who were being interviewed on the case. The same two persons who were found in the area on CCTV footage timestamped about 15 minutes prior to the alleged attack. The next day police said those "persons of interest", who are actually black Africans, are now potential suspects on the case. The two men were later released without charge. Police say the suspects testified against Jussie Smollett which turned the focus of the investigation on the fictim. Detectives believe that the fictim had paid the foreign duo $3,500 by cheque to attack him, with a promise of a $500 balance on a later date after the plan had been executed. Police also determined from CCTV footage and testimonies that the injuries on the fictim were rather most likely self-inflicted than a direct result of the alleged attack.

Armed with new Information, police further interviewed Jussie Smollett who continued to insist he was a victim. He refused to confess, prompting police to have to dig up more pieces of evidence against him which would be sufficient to bring the liar to book.

February 20, 2019. Chicago Police Department announced that 36-year-old Jussie Smollett was officially a suspect in a criminal investigation for filing a false police report. The same day, the Cook County state’s attorney’s office said the fictim was charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report about a hate crime.

February 21, 2019. Jussie Smollett turned himself in Chicago Police Department where he was booked. Chicago police Superintendent in an impassioned press conference said Jussie Smollett faked both the threatening MAGA letter and the attack because “he was dissatisfied with his salary” on the Empire show, calling the hoax “despicable”. He added that Smollett “dragged Chicago’s reputation through the mud.” He also slammed the media for not paying as much attention to each case of gun violence in the city as has been paid to the Smollett case. Rightly so, Chicago recorded about 3,000 shootings in 2018, almost none of them got national attention. But here you have a coward crybaby taking all the news coverage for self-inflicted scratch. "I only hope that the truth about what happened receives the same amount of attention that the hoax did", said the superintendent.

A Cook County judge also condemned Jussie Smollett's actions and set his bond at $100,000 - unusually high but well deserved for the alleged crime. Conditions were that the fictim would have to post $10,000 cash and surrender his passport to stay out on bail. Jussie was released on the same day after posting the aforementioned cash bond. Then his legal team slammed police and maintained Jussie Smollett's innocence citing his right to due process and saying he has been betrayed by the Police Department. However, the Chicago Police Department and the Cook County Prosecutor expressed confidence in the accumulating pieces of evidence against Jussie Smollett. See you in court.

February 22, 2019. Executive producers of Empire TV show announce that Jamal Lyon, the character played by Jussie Smollett, will not appear in the final episodes of the show’s fifth season. “We have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final two episodes of the season.”

February 24, 2019. Likely due to backlash from Jussie supporters also involved in the show, Executive Producers of Empire TV show came back with a change of heart iterating that the Jamal Lyon character may return in the sixth season. Meaning there might still be room for the Hate Crime Hoaxer.

March 08, 2019. For filing false police reports, Jussie Smollett was indicted by a grand jury on 16 felony counts including Class 4 felonies.

March 26, 2019. Cook County Courthouse. In a bizarre twist of events, all 16 charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped by the Chicago prosecutor. We have no idea what happened behind the scenes to come to this but we know they're good at making beautiful speeches to rob us of our common sense. The Prosecutor, Joseph Magats, who dropped the charges defended the decision, saying they were uncertain they had enough evidence to secure a conviction and wanted to focus on bigger gun crimes in Chicago. Kim Foxx, the Cook County State's Attorney who earlier recused herself from the case due to personal links with Jussie Smollett's interest also claimed the fictim faced accountability by doing "community service" and forfeiting his $10,000 bond.

So, on one hand, they tell us they were uncertain they had enough inculpatory evidence to convict the fictim (false victim), on the other hand, they're telling us the fictim has already paid a price for his crime. Think about that. If they punished the fictim with a so-called "community service", it means they had enough evidence to convict him. If the fictim voluntarily did the "community service", it means he admitted guilt and therefore that would have been evidence to convict him on a more serious note. Well, these are just presumptions. Other reports have suggested that the so-called "community service" was actually a contribution to Rev. Jessie Jackson's Organization: Rainbow/Push Coalition. You bet, the Civil Rights founding father himself MLK jr wouldn't have seen this one coming.

The attention-seeking fictim himself released his own words in a press conference after charges against him were dismissed. "I have been truthful and consistent on every single level since day one" . "I would not be my mother's son if I was capable of one drop of what I was accused of", said Jussie Smollett. In contrast with his interview with on CBS Good Morning America, this time he said nothing about continued hopes/efforts for his attackers to be caught, for obvious reasons.

The Chief Superintendent of Chicago who made the first passionate speech against Smollett's actions in the earlier phases of the case against the fictim expressed disappointment with the new developments. "Do I think justice was served? No", said the Chief Superintendent. The Mayor of Chicago also publicly slammed the prosecutor's decision, calling it "a whitewash of justice".

March 28, 2019. The city of Chicago swerved from seeking justice and an apology to demanding $130,106.15 from Jussie Smollett to cover what they say is the "cost of the investigation". Chicago City's Corporation Counsel said in a letter to the fictim legal team that if the fictim does not pay within a seven-day deadline, the city might prosecute him using Chicago's municipal code or other by-law alternatives. "This is a reasonable and legally justifiable amount to collect to help offset the costs of the investigation," said the city's spokesman.

March 29, 2019. Cook County State’s Attorney, Kim Foxx wrote in an op-ed in The Chicago Tribune that she welcomed an “outside, non-political review of how we handled this matter.” Well, here it comes: Your handling of this case has earned you a place in history as the people who normalized hate crime hoaxes in this country, and consequentially, the people who used their authority to spit in the faces of true victims of this category of crime.

If we consider that the younger hate hoaxer here who only told a lie did not get off the hook so easily, then it is saddening to see the one who orchestrated a more elaborate hate hoax just walked away within 3 months of the staged incidences. This apparently marks a normalization of hate crime hoaxes in this country. Society must buckle up for more to come.

April 04, 2019. Chicago city prepares to sue Jussie Smollett for missing the deadline to pay $130,106.15 in restitution. The L.A. based legal team of the fictim has reportedly been notified that according to Chicago city by-laws the fictim may be liable to pay three times the initially demanded amount if he misses the deadline. However, Jussie Smollett not only declined to pay restitution but also warned the city of Chicago in a retaliatory letter through his attorneys that if Chicago follows through with the threats to sue him, he will demand a sworn testimony from key figures of the city, including the Mayor and the Police Chief. The fictim's legal team had earlier hinted that the Mayor of Chicago and the Chief Superintended who passionately condemned Jussie Smollett's false victimhood and the injustice of dropping charges against him afterward, owe the fictim an apology for "dragging his name through the mud".

It is also reported that Jussie Smollett is preparing for his Jamal Lyon character role in Season 6 of Empire. Do not be surprised if the new script includes elements validating his false victimhood.

Will the city of Chicago stand its ground? or will they fear whatever authority is behind this insanity, put their tails between their legs, walk away and let this fictim win? We are eagerly awaiting an update on what the city of Chicago will do next.

April 11, 2019. the City of Chicago makes good on its promise to sue ficim Jussie Smollett with a lawsuit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, in which the city seeks to recover $130,106.15 in costs of the investigation into his hoax. Watch this space!

Sadly, with so much evidence against Jussie Smollett, the city of Chicago is not seeking justice but rather money. Clearly, because their hands are tied. That's a bigger shame than the staged victimhood itself. Hold that thought!.

June 25, 2019. CBS Chicago reports that Police released thousands of investigation materials including Jussie Smollett’s accomplice's search records in the wake of the January 29 staged incident, revealing that the actor had been Googled more than 50 times in the days after he falsely claimed to be the target of a hate crime. The following report has been edited to remove white spaces and fit in our reading pane.

It is not clear if the multiple googling was directed by the hate crime hoax mastermind himself, but putting all other facts together just points to Jussie Smollett as one sissy actor with a glutton for fame. Watch this space.

August 16, 2019. Upon his hard-earned media favoritism, Jussie Smollett is not planning to go away anytime soon, at least not as a famous fictim. In a joint status report related to the April 11th restitution lawsuit against him, his attorneys flirted around the idea of a retaliatory lawsuit against Chicago Police. Not for failing to find his supposedly fictitious Caucasian MAGA racist/homophobic attackers, but for yet another fake victimhood claim of ill-treatment during his arrest back in February 2019.

According to a statement from Jussie Smollett's attorney: "Defendant contemplates filing an action against the City of Chicago and/or its agents for their conduct underlying the arrest and their conduct thereafter including constitutional claims and state law claims. Defendant reserves the right to bring such claims at the appropriate time provided by law."

Meanwhile, there are black people gunned down by police just for sitting outside their homes, they never make the news. Yet, Jussie Smollett the hoaxer claims to be a victim at every turn of his case. Well, see you in Federal Court.

August 20, 2019. The first Federal Court hearing for Jussie Smollett's case since he was sued by the City of Chicago, for over $130,000 in restitution. The fictim himself was not present in the 10-minute status hearing but his attorney requested for the case to be dismissed, citing irregularities and unfairness in Chicago Authorities' treatment of Jussie, as well as their alleged ill-conceived motive for the lawsuit. A federal judge said she’ll rule on the actor’s request to toss the suit on October 22, 2019. If the judge's decision does not eventually favor Jussie Smollett, he is expected to counter-sue Chicago.

November 21, 2019. Just as we expected, Jussie Smollett files a counter lawsuit against the City of Chicago for what he claims to be "malicious prosecution". The suit emphasizes on the "emotional distress" the fictim endured by being charged with Filing a false report. We see how this plays out in focus of the libtardization currency but it's too early to tell. One thing you should keep in mind: Jussie Smollet knows something you don't.

February 11, 2020. As if the circus was not already interesting enough, a newly appointed Special Prosecutor released a statement that a grand jury has returned a six-count felony indictment against Jussie Smollett. The six new felony charges are of disorderly conduct stemming from four separate false reports that he gave to police in 2019. The prosecutor accuses Jussie Smollet of wittingly and falsely claiming to be a victim of a hate crime when he was not. Jussie Smollett's attorneys, on the other hand, filed a motion to dismiss the charges and disqualify the special prosecutor.

-- Update --

March 06, 2020. Illinois Supreme Court. Disappointment for Jussie Smollett as a judge denied the motion to dismiss the 6-count felony indictment against him. It's on. Grab your popcorn folks, this is Jussie Smollett Season 2.
