July 18, 2019. Before 1 a.m. Officers responded to a report of an on-going street fight with someone armed with a knife. Officers arrived at the scene but found nothing. They proceeded to interview witnesses nearby who told them there was no fight, but that they saw a malcontent female call the police after she was asked to leave a bar.
With the description of the woman, officers traced and found Kristen Melody Carrier who continued to feign several other tales. One was that she had witnessed the abduction of a young man on the street by "someone in a pickup truck", but then that changed to "a large group of men on motorcycles." But no one else saw a group of bikers in the area, not even the Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies.
As other details given by Kristen Carrier continued to change, it became obvious the “information was embellished,” according to Wilmington Police Chief.
July 18, 2019. 31-year-old Kristen Melody Carrier of Braidwood was arrested and charged with making a false report. She was booked in the Will County jail awaiting a bond hearing.
