December 04, 2018. At about 8:00 pm. A woman "Jane Doe" whom police have not yet identified, arrived at the Red Bluff Path Shelter and reported to a staff member that she had been sexually assaulted by multiple men, according to a report by KRCRTV.
The staff member took Jane Doe to a Hospital where Red Bluff police and detectives met up with her. She told the officers that she had been kidnapped at knife-point and gang-raped by three men who held her against her will. Her injuries according to the sexual assault exam performed at the hospital, corroborated her story.
Following the complaint, an urgent investigation was launched. Red Bluff police reportedly worked all night to identify the suspects
December 05, 2018. 11:00 a.m. Red Bluff police had arrested all three men but their account of the incident was much different from the fictim's, according to Red Bluff police. The men maintained that the sex was voluntary and consensual. They were able to prove their version of events.
and after being confronted by police, the woman admitted to having fabricated the rape allegations. No motive was provided but you can smell it from a mile away: diversion, regrets, retribution, vindictiveness, vengeance, revenge, make your own pick.
All three men were released, except one who was never booked as he was never positively identified by Jane Doe. His story lined up with the others and Red Bluff police say it was convincing and consistent with their findings.
